Trustworthy, Effective, and Affordable: The Mission Behind TSF Skincare

When it all began, my only goal was to engage in something creative to make a bit of extra money. In the fall of 2019, I chose to try making body butter to sell at craft shows during the holiday season for some additional income. To be honest, I can't even recall what inspired the idea. However, after the first month, I was completely captivated.

I had individuals who initially claimed they didn't like lotions and body butters try my product. They would walk around shopping and then return to purchase a jar. It was incredibly rewarding to see people enjoy something I created.

Soon, people began requesting regular lotion. So, I learned how to make it. At that point, I still didn't realize that this small hobby of mine would evolve into a full-fledged business.

Then 2020 arrived, and everything in my life changed. We sold our two businesses, and I went from working full-time to not working at all. Like many, I was trying to find a way to navigate through the early stages of the pandemic.

During this period, I started experimenting with facial care products, initially considering it a hobby with plans to showcase them at craft shows during the holidays. Unfortunately, no craft shows took place that first year.

One day, I made a pivotal decision. I wanted to explore where this hobby could take me, so I shifted my mindset from hobby to business. My first task was to define my business mission.

My mission became very clear: TSF Skincare offers all-natural, trustworthy, and effective skincare at an affordable price.

I was determined that my products would be free from synthetics and harmful chemicals, with the key aspect being affordability without compromising effectiveness.

Due to the pandemic, there were no live events in 2020, and I couldn't participate in events until mid-2021. Even the holiday season events in 2021 were sparse and slow. By 2022, events started to return to a more normal state.

I had set goals to achieve by the end of 2022 to decide whether I would pursue this as a business or keep it as a fun hobby.

Then, heartbreak struck my home. Our last dog (we had many over the past 16 years) passed away. It was one of the hardest experiences I've ever faced. After six weeks of deep sorrow, I decided it was time to adopt again.

We adopted a 2-year-old shelter dog that had been a stray. Zekiel, or Zeke, found his way to us. I had said I didn't want a puppy because they were too much work. The joke was on me!

He entered our lives and mended our hearts in ways I never thought possible. However, he brought his own set of challenges. The initial months with him required nearly all my energy and focus. By the fall of 2022, I was prepared to return to business mode.

Eight months of the year had passed, and I was far from achieving my goals. I had been developing products and launched some new products, but I wasn't truly focusing on the business.

From fall through the winter of 2022-23, I started finding a great rhythm. In January 2023, I reset my goals and regained my motivation.

As I began to promote and expand the business, I remained committed to my goals and mission.

Nearly halfway through this 2023, I finally feel like I've moved beyond just a hobby. I will continue striving for those goals and staying true to my mission.

I am thankful to everyone who has helped me achieve what I have so far. I have a wonderful following of loyal customers, and I hope to continue growing and helping others attain healthy, beautiful skin without resorting to harmful and costly treatments.
