From My Kitchen to Your Shelf: Our Formulation Journey

I get asked all the time how I come up with the unique formulas for our products. The truth is, it takes a lot of time, patience, and a bit of kitchen-chemistry!
When I first started, I had to learn how to make basic formulas from the ground up. Serums are fairly straightforward—you choose your ingredients and mix. However, venturing into lotions and water-based products was a completely different story.
The Science of Emulsification
Learning to properly emulsify water, butters, and oils is not as easy as it seems. It requires precision:
Temperature Control: The oil and water phases must be heated to exact, accurate temperatures.
The Perfect Blend: You have to use an immersion blender properly. Blend too little, and it won't combine; blend too much, and you break the emulsion entirely.
Making body washes and soaps involves similar complexities. The temperatures and blending methods must be exact, otherwise, the product won’t achieve that perfect, luxurious consistency.
Research and Originality
Once I mastered the basics, I started researching specific ingredients to target various skin issues. I never copy anyone's recipes. I want our line to be completely distinct from anything else on the market.
As I research, I find the precise ingredients I want to work with and build a custom formula around them. It often takes a few trial batches before I get it just right.
From Lab to Launch
Once the formula is perfected, the creative side takes over. I curate the packaging and design the labels. Then, the next step is taking high-quality product photos and adding all the details to our website.
When I say I formulate and make everything myself, I mean it literally. Every step of the journey is done by hand with love and intention.

My hobby became a business because of my valued followers like you. It's very important to me to know what people want. Please feel free to reach out to me and share what products you would love to see. If you have used any TSF products I would love to hear your experience. The good and the bad. These products are made for YOU. So if they are not working for you I want to know.
