If you are on a quest for radiant, hydrated, and calm skin, you likely have a bathroom cabinet overflowing with products—many of which have long lists of synthetic ingredients you can’t pronounce.
Sometimes, the most powerful skincare solutions come directly from nature. One of the most effective, versatile, and gentle combinations you can add to your routine is calendula-infused grapeseed oil.
This, my friends, is not just another oil; it is a botanical powerhouse that combines the soothing, regenerative magic of calendula flowers with the lightweight, antioxidant-rich properties of grapeseed oil.
This powerhouse remedy is created by macerating (soaking) dried organic calendula petals in cold-pressed grapeseed oil. The oil acts as a solvent, drawing out the medicinal compounds of the flower over several weeks.
Calendula (Calendula officinalis): Long prized for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and skin-healing properties. Renowned for its ability to stimulate collagen production and speed up skin cell regeneration.
Grapeseed Oil: A light, non-greasy carrier oil packed with linoleic acid (essential fatty acids), vitamin E and proanthocyanidins, which are antioxidants 20 times more potent than vitamin C.
Calendula contains compounds that help reduce melanin production, making it effective at fading age spots and brightening the skin. As we age, our collagen production slows down. Calendula is known to stimulate collagen production and inhibit the enzymes that break down existing collagen. Grapeseed oil complements this by boosting skin elasticity, preventing sagging, and keeping the skin firm. Free radicals from sun exposure and pollution are the primary causes of premature aging. Both calendula and grapeseed oil are loaded with antioxidants (flavonoids, carotenoids, and proanthocyanidins) that neutralize these free radicals, preventing oxidative stress. Unlike heavy creams that can leave a greasy residue, this oil is rapidly absorbed, providing immediate, deep hydration that plumps the skin. It helps repair the skin barrier, which is essential for retaining moisture and reducing the look of fine lines.
We make our own calendula oil and incorporate it into most of our facial products. The following products all have this powerhouse combo!
