How We Made Our Best-Selling Scalp & Hair Serum Even Better

Over the years I have adjusted the formula for our Scalp & Hair Serum a couple times. I do this when I find ingredients that I see could benefit our products.
I have loved our Scalp & Hair Serum since the beginning. That last formula adjustment was a year ago. I added castor oil to it. That was a game changer!
I recently made a another adjustment. The castor oil is now infused with rosemary, horsetail, gotu kola, and green tea (herbs). When used as a topical treatment it promotes hair growth, strengthens hair follicles, and improves scalp health.
Rosemary: Stimulates local blood circulation to the scalp. Improved micro-circulation helps deliver nutrients to hair follicles, supporting thicker and fuller hair growth.
Horsetail: Contains natural silica. Silica is a trace mineral known to improve hair tensile strength, enhance sheen, and reduce hair breakage or brittleness.
Gotu Kola: Supports micro-circulation and collagen synthesis. On the scalp, it helps nourish tissue health around the hair root and calm localized irritation.
Green Tea: Provides rich antioxidant polyphenols (such as EGCG). These compounds help protect the scalp and hair follicles from oxidative stress and environmental damage.
I also added sweet almond oil. I use unrefined almond oil so it is not an issue for people with nut allergies. (still do a patch test to be safe). Almond oil provides deep moisture, smooths frizz, and adds a natural shine. The emollient properties of sweet almond oil allow it to fill the microscopic gaps in a damaged hair cuticle. When applied to frayed tips, it temporarily binds the split fibers together, making your ends look much smoother, healthier, and cleaner between salon visits.
The original ingredients are all still included. Each ingredient was chosen to help actively rejuvenate the scalp and repair brittle hair strands by combining fast-absorbing, nutrient-rich carrier oils with purifying botanicals. They deliver potent doses of Vitamin A and omega fatty acids to restore hair elasticity and smooth the cuticle without weighing down your style. Additionally, its astringent and antimicrobial essential oils work together to regulate overactive sebum, soothe irritation, and stimulate healthy root microcirculation.
How to Use
For a Deep Scalp & Root Treatment (Pre-Shampoo):
Section dry or damp hair and apply directly to your scalp. Massage thoroughly with your fingertips for 3 to 5 minutes to stimulate circulation, leave it on for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for maximum herbal infusion benefits), and then wash thoroughly with shampoo. Use as much or as little as you like.
For Split Ends & Frizz Control (Leave-In):
Warm 1 to 3 drops between your palms and gently smooth it through the mid-lengths to the very tips of damp or styled hair. Because this formula contains rich, sealing oils like castor and tamanu, a little goes a long way to lock in moisture, tame flyaways, and boost shine without weighing your hair down.
